Improving sustainability in the auto industry
 

DuPont has established automotive innovation centers in Seoul, South Korea; Pune, India; Nagoya, Japan; Geneva, Switzerland; Istanbul, Turkey; and Troy, Michigan in the United States.

At the heart of our innovation efforts is a fast-changing, highly competitive, globally critical drive for greater sustainability and higher fuel efficiency. 

Together with other materials makers, parts suppliers, and manufacturers, we are making the products that are delivering results. Throughout the global supply chain, we are enabling a new era in everything from highly efficient, high-performance engines to interiors using finishes that incorporate renewably sourced materials.

In recent years, these efforts have enabled several of our partners to earn Society of Plastics Engineers “Most Innovative Use of Plastics” awards. Those companies saw breakthroughs that were powered by DuPont engineers and components that employed renewably sourced DuPont materials. 

DuPont will continue to lead this important trend. By responding to the challenges of how to improve sustainability through material selection, we will help build the vehicles and the future which consumers, companies, and governments want and need.
