Vehicle Armor—On the Road Protection

In battle, even driving down a road can be life threatening. In the face of RPGs, EFPs, snipers and other threats, vehicle armor made with DuPont™ Kevlar® fiber helps to protect our warfighters who are riding in vehicles.

Warfighters are faced with life-and-death challenges whether on foot or on the roads. So the same technology we use in body armor can also be found in the interior of Military ground vehicles and helicopters. DuPont™ Kevlar® technology is helping the military address the need for strong, lightweight, reliable, flame and heat resistant armor systems and spall protection for a range of vehicles, ships, airplanes and helicopters.

We are constantly looking for new ways to support a warrior’s mission. Our advanced armor systems help offer the protection warriors need to focus on the fight without penalizing soldier survivability and vehicle performance.
